Neighbourhood practice

Healthcare that keeps the appointment unhurried.

Nola Verge is a small general practice built around long consultations, one named clinician per patient and notes written in language you can actually use.

  • 30-minute standard consultations
  • Same-week slots held for new concerns
  • Step-free rooms on one level

How we practise

Three things we hold to, every appointment.

Small commitments, but they shape the whole visit — and they are the reason most people register with us.

01

Time that is genuinely yours

Standard consultations run half an hour. If a visit needs longer, we book the longer slot rather than asking you to return for the rest of the conversation.

02

One clinician who knows you

You are registered with a named clinician and see them wherever the diary allows, so your history does not have to be re-told from the beginning each time.

03

Notes written in plain language

After each visit you receive a short written summary: what we found, what we agreed, and what should prompt you to come back sooner.

Services

Everyday medicine, under one roof.

General practice for adults and children, with a few areas we go deeper on. If something needs a specialist, we make the referral and stay involved.

Your visit

What happens between asking and being seen.

No portals to set up and no phone queue to sit in. Three steps, and a person at the end of each of them.

  1. Send the request

Tell us the type of care you need and the times that suit you. A coordinator reads every request the same working day.

  2. We confirm the slot

You get a written confirmation with the clinician's name, the length of the appointment and anything worth bringing along.

  3. Consultation and summary

Unhurried time in the room, then a plain-language summary of what was agreed — including what to do if things change.

Care team

The clinicians you will actually see.

A deliberately small team. You are registered with one of them, and they stay with you through referrals and results.

Questions

The practical things, answered.

If your question is not here, put it in the request form and a coordinator will reply in writing.

Do I need to be registered to book?

No. Send a request as a new patient and we will complete registration together at your first appointment — it takes a few minutes and you only do it once.

How do repeat prescriptions work?

Registered patients request repeats through the same form, choosing "Prescription review". We ask for a short review appointment roughly twice a year so nothing continues unchecked.

Can you take on my existing records?

Yes. With your written consent we request your notes from your previous practice, and your clinician reads them before your first consultation rather than during it.

What if I need to change an appointment?

Reply to your confirmation and we will move it. Letting us know a day ahead means the slot can go to someone waiting, which is genuinely helpful.

Is the clinic accessible?

All consulting rooms are step-free and on one level, with a height-adjustable examination couch, a quiet waiting area and room for a companion or interpreter.

Request a visit

Tell us what you need and when suits you.

One short form. A coordinator reads it the same working day and replies with a confirmed slot or a question.

  • New and registered patients use the same form — just say which you are in the note.
  • Keep the note brief. A sentence is plenty; the detail belongs in the room, not in a form.
  • This form is not for emergencies. For chest pain, breathing difficulty, severe bleeding or sudden weakness, seek urgent care immediately.

We reply to every request, usually the same working day.
